Today is number 182 of 365, which means we are very almost exactly halfway through the year. I don't know about you, but right now I am standing in the middle of a large empty room with my mouth wide open trying to figure out where the year went. Before the flies take up residence in my mouth I managed to pull myself together and think over some of the things that blinka.me has achieved this year, and realised that really time has been flying because we have been having fun!

Here are few of the highlights from this year so far:

* We started the new year off by introducing our mobile application, which quickly became the most popular way of engaging with blinka.me. If you haven't tried it, check it out here: m.blinka.me

* In March we made a list of 10 random thoughts to get you through the day. Good to get you through any day really, you can check them out here

* In April we gave away an iPod touch in the easiest competition in the world. All you had to do was post a moment!

* We also compiled a list of the best pick-up lines, and would be keen to hear if any of you used any of them (even better if they worked), the list is here

* In May we found out that 10% of under 25 year olds think it is okay to text while having sex. This figure is still baffling and we just hope you aren't texting your Mum.

* At the end of May we also partnered with Vodafone to bring blinka.me's mobile site to Vodafone Live.

* And we announced another competition, which is still running now: We are offering 3 x $300 dates to couples who can prove that they used blinka.me to get together. Email duncan@blinka.me if this sounds like you!

* Most recently we have been enjoying the positive feedback from our users regarding the facelift of our website. Keep it coming people!
